*gripe* Well...long background shory short, I was a member of an Egyptian mythology club at Yahoo! and the other three founders, having grown too busy with school and such, asked for another cofounder to be nominated. I was the only one nominated, with two votes. I log in one day and try to reply to somebody's message, only to find I have to be careful or I'll DELETE it instead!! Wha? That "Delete" command was never there before. What's happened? I'm suddenly a founder!!

I was flattered at first...but "flatterment" grew to irritation and then anger when I realized it was not an honor, but a burden. The other three cofounders had fled the club, seemingly never to return! They have yet to come back! Wonder why? Read on!

Lately a few of these cofounders have been posting sporadically in the other club they have, the one that "my" club branched off of. The way I understood it, the first club had changed into an all-RPG and they created "my" club to talk about straight mythology. Both clubs are pretty much dying as they're too busy to post. (Me, I'm too AVOIDANT to post.) So, a few of them have stepped into the original club to say, "Well, why don't we end the game and go back to a mythology club?"

THIS THREATENS ME! Once they do that, well, what good will "MY" club be? Superfluous, is what! (It has more members, yes, but we all communicate with each other about the same--nil! Why do people even bother joining if they never want to post?? They CAN'T all be as shy as I am!)

I went to the original club, reading the latest "Let's end the game and go back to mythology" post, and politely asked, "I was made cofounder of a club about Egyptian mythology, much similar to this one. I'm wondering, if you change to all-mythology, will there be competition? What will the real difference between the two be?"

The poster replied with, "I'm not certain which club you're talking about, but clubs with similar subject matter exist side-by-side just fine...I'm sure we could both think of something to talk about."

Well, I checked out her name...and then I checked out the names of the other cofounders in "my" club...and...SHE IS ONE OF THE COFOUNDERS!

SHE FORGOT ABOUT HER OWN CLUB!!

I am SO peeved beyond end right now...I was exactly right, they bailed on me and then forgot the club even existed. Sheesh! I know, they're busy, and I don't fault them that...I know it's silly to be mad at them...but come on! Why create a club, make some shy awkward nontalkative person cofounder so you can leave, and then forget about it and change your previous club so the second one has no reason to exist? I'm sorry if she should ever find out just how angry I am, but I feel I have a right to be. This is just beyond rude!

I posted a link to "my" club and hopefully she will find it familiar, check the members' list, and see HERSELF as a cofounder...then maybe she can give me some ideas as to what I should bother DOING with the thing...

I won't hold my breath though, she forgot she helped create it in the first place!

Man am I mad...and I used to think I had a bad memory!
