Well, FIRST off...

Ma tells me that Eric and Shannon don't WANT to go to the Island. Isn't that nice? They come up on vacation, and they don't WANT to visit the biggest tourist spot. That would be like us going to visit them and not wanting to visit the battlefield! "Well, she wanted to go on that lighthouse tour but they cancelled it!" (Nice that she had OTHER plans in mind even AFTER we made plans to go to the Island tomorrow!) "Her feet are sore and it's hot out." (Gee...I remember sweating like a pig when we went on that tour of the battlefield...did I complain?--no!) "It's so expensive." (DAD SAID HE'D PAY FOR OUR WAY OVER!! REMEMBER?!) Etc. etc., ad nauseam. Ma's making all the excuses for them. Thoughtful of her.

Nextly, she says she told them we'd leave around eleven, not earlier. At that time, we probably won't GET to the Island until around one...same time as last year...meaning we won't have the time to cover all the ground I wanted to. Thanks again, Ma!

Lastly, the weather is calling for possible thunderstorms and showers tomorrow in the afternoon. Chance of rain, 60%.
