HEY, YOU! IF YOU SEE THIS, PLEASE READ IT.

07-29-01 @ 3:49 am EDT

I apologize to those who I have been running off the front page due to my persistent republishing. :( You see, I'm currently changing the ratings on most of my stories to better suit the ratings system at Stories.com. While I believe most of my writing is on the level of PG, I've been informed that on this site, it's closer to PG-13, and so as not to cause trouble I have to go through all of my items and check them and possibly re-edit them. Not only that, but I'm changing the folder descriptions to indicate why my stories and items carry the ratings they do (so no one is unprepared), and plus I'm changing one of the genres on the D Is For Damien stories (from Supernatural to Occult, which much better suits them).

A few times I have actually wished for a way to republish your items WITHOUT them showing up on the front page to push everyone else out of the way, but I doubt such a function would be useful or wanted by many here, plus I do NOT want to suggest a change in the system; they implemented a change at FanFiction.net whereby all UPDATED stories no longer show up on the site's main page, and there was much argument about that, including on my part! (Since I tend to write long wordy updateable stories rather than many short ones.)

I just checked the main page and saw that out of seven items, five of them were mine. *ugh*

I remember such a practice as this at Writtenbyme.com resulted in the "Spammer" (the one posting numerous things at once) being dinged (rated poorly) by other members of the site in retribution for taking up too much space. While I didn't agree with that particular practice, I also didn't agree with those who published EVERYTHING at once. (It was mainly Themestreamers trying to save their items before the site went down, apparently not thinking to save them to their hard drive first!) I know that they were being selfish and thoughtless, for the most part, and I didn't like when they ran everybody off the page either. I vowed never to do that there, and never to publish more than a few things at a time.

WELL, I quit Writtenbyme due to lack of interest in my items, and due to numerous site changes which I feel were not for the better, and I find myself doing the very thing I despised right here at a better (IMO) site, Stories.com...if you see this entry and know of someone who has been pushed off the page by Tehuti's endless perfecting, please give them my apologies, I guarantee it shouldn't happen again after I have all of my things updated to correct the ratings problem.

Sorry for the trouble...

I am yesterday; I know tomorrow.
