I FINALLY updated the "Thanking Garden"! Whew!! I really needed to update that. It's like lifting a boulder off my shoulders. It really shouldn't be as difficult as I make it.

Have to think of a way to draw Horus properly! There's a drawing of him in a D&D book of mine. Not quite what I wanted, but maybe I could use it for inspiration. He looks really mean in that picture. Oh, I should take a closer look at their Bastet. She's really cute but her eyes are humongo.

I just applied to join Elfwood and sheesh, the reply e-mail came fast! They said it could take two weeks so here I am, applying, thinking, "Eh, I've got two weeks." !! Now I have to get a few drawings together and apply for the extranet. It all sounds so confusing; their FAQ is a mile long. No exaggeration--it is. I'm just annoyed because our scanner and photo software, well, they're so lousy with images. When I shrink things down to the required size, they lose so much quality. Upuat and Bastet from my previous entry looked a whole lot better before I shrank them. And that's just GIFs, with no color. What about when I want to do JPGs? The only reason I saved those two as GIFs was because they're B&W and to save space! Too bad Elfwood doesn't have a 200kb limit and not 100kb. This is going to be hard. How do I save my images and still make them look good? I checked out their saving and scanning sections and it just left me more confused than ever. RGB? Resolution? High/medium/low? Compression?? I don't think our scanner or software came with any options like that!!

I wouldn't mind a download, but they're all expensive or complicated or too big. I wish I knew what would be good. I haven't even figured out what to do about my font problem yet.

Man, I just noticed it's after four. It took me THAT long to update? *sigh* Never get anything done...

I think I'd also like to apply to the Wyvern's Library (I applied to Lothlorien--hm, that's the name of a song by Enya), maybe post the first chapter of Horus and of Manitou Island. Have to see.

What else? Oh yes. The "FRIEND." I posted at the website in question to point out my drawings and HE sends me an e-mail saying "WELCOME BACK!" Excuse me. I never "left." I said I would have to lie low on the OTHER site because YOU made me feel stupid. Have you forgotten already? Still no "indepth" letters like you keep promising. You don't even know I'm mad at you, do you?

It's funny that those who claim to care the most about me are the ones who are always most oblivious when I'm supremely PISSED OFF at them. Whenever I ask around, "Why do I keep falling for people's lines?" the answer is always "Maybe you keep seeking out the wrong people?"

Which doesn't help me much...I don't seek these people out, they contact ME! So what, do the wrong people just sort of GRAVITATE toward me? I have no idea what I'm doing that's so wrong, unless my own fears are correct and people just can't stand me once they get a REALLY close look.

*sigh* Don't want to get all depressed tonight...may as well end it there before I do. I have a headache.

And oh yes. I found a dead slug squished on my leg when I came in from taking sunset pics. EEEWWWWWWWW GROSS.
