No, I'm not aiming for the Site's Longest Journal slot, though it would be nice someday. Just had a few more comments.

About the memory card. We went to Wal-Mart to look for another, just in case, and Ma, who claimed she was going to get only a 16MB, came back with a 32, the same as the one we have now. "You're getting a 32?" I asked. "I thought you could get two 16s at KMart for $30 each and save." (Since a 32MB card cost around $80 last time we got one.)

"Yeah, but the 16s are $32 here," she groused. "This was cheaper."

"How much?"

"$40."

"FORTY DOLLARS?!" I just about screamed.

We made it out to the car and got in, buckling up. ('Cause we're safety conscious, and all.) "You know why it's $40 now?" I said. "Because they're probably coming out with bigger cards already. What would be twice that size?" I pondered, dredging up my limited knowledge of even basic math. "A 64MB card."

"They HAD 64MB cards!" Ma returned. "They were $60!"

"SIXTY DOLLARS?!?" I shrieked. "THAT'S CHEAPER THAN THE FIRST CARD!! You should've gotten one of those!! 64MB? OH MY GOD! I could take--like--FOUR HUNDRED PICTURES WITH THAT THING!!"

((cue hyperventilating))

"You'd burn up the camera just DOWNLOADING the things!" Ma snapped.

"I wouldn't do them all at once!" I snapped back. "I'm too impatient for that. I spend most of my time online!" (I can't download the pics when online; the toolbar disappears and you can't minimize the screen. DAMN it! ~>:( ) "I'd have to do like 20, then go online, then do a few more, then do something else...$60 for 64MB! Good Lord!!"

AAGGHH she should have gotten that card! I've been thinking of us getting a second 32MB in case we ever go to Georgia again. No more dim unrecognizable 35mm snapshots! Plus we'd have enough film to last the whole trip. With a 32MB card AND a 64MB card, we would have DEFINITELY been set!

*sigh sigh sigh*



...I read in the Depression forum around here once that chocolate can help alleviate depression? At least I think that's what I read. I have to wonder. I've been eating so many Peanut Butter M&Ms lately it's disgusting. I give myself painful indigestion waking up because I wake up, eat some, go back to sleep, etc. I'm eating some right now and I'm not even hungry, I'm even getting sick of the taste. So why do I keep eating them?

Hm...

I really need and want to make a new drawing. Nothing seems to be working out. Tried my hand at the Trench Rats. I can't seem to draw characters who look DIFFERENT. If I could draw just ONE Trench Rat, I would be happy; but then they'd all look alike! They're all supposed to be different. Like Silver is supposed to be noble and proud and stubborn, Reseda is supposed to be somewhat introverted and awkward and loyal, Turquoise is supposed to be sickly and sensitive and empathic, Didrika is supposed to be hardened and deadly and seductive, Ratdog is supposed to be dignified and mysterious and contradictory, etc.--how do you convey things like that in drawing? How do Disney and Don Bluth even differentiate between their same-species characters? I know, I know--a longer muzzle here, smaller eyes there. But I can't seem to make it work.

*sigh*

Only just started on Part 36. I know where I want it to go (another "bombshell," but there were plenty of clues as to this one) but I really have to work on that. I'm getting so behind. :(

Still not giving up on it though...
