Manitou Island's current status: 105,848 words. What should be my next goal? 125,000? This is amazing, for me.

I'm thinking about the current problem of Ocryana. I'm over 100,000 words into this thing and the bad guy hasn't even shown her face yet. She has got to show up SOON or she risks not taking an important enough part in the story, depending on how long it turns out. (I still have plenty of things I want to happen, just not sure how I'm going to connect them all together coherently.)

The way I had wanted it to happen was the GeeBees show up again first and wreak more havoc, since they're working for her. And then she would show up much later. The way I'm starting to see it now, those GeeBees had better show up soon, and Ocryana not long after. Give the tall bony guys their moment, but then have her cut in to steal the limelight. Man, I think I'm giving stuff away here. Oh well, only one person's reading it. But she's really got to hurry herself up.
