What the hell is wrong with my relatives? First Ma gives the camera to my uncle J. so he can take it to Canada to take pictures. She didn't tell me he'd be gone a WEEK. "I thought it was just a day!" I say. "Who goes to Canada for a day??" she asks. "WE USED TO ALL THE TIME!!" I scream. He brings it back intact, and what did he need it to take pictures of? A dozen shots of some cliff or something way off in the distance, from the lake. Ooo J., you're such a skilled photog! Like you couldn't have used a REGULAR camera for that?

Today she gave it to Cousin J. (different person), who was SUPPOSED to bring it back after she was done and set it on the porch. Is it there, almost twelve hours later? No. She needs those pictures uploaded and saved to disk for a school project tomorrow. Pardon, J., but how am I to do that if you DON'T BRING THE CAMERA BACK? There's probably a nice sunset out there right now and I can't take pics because AGAIN, SOMEBODY ELSE HAS THE DAMN CAMERA!

Why can't they get their own??

To top this off, Ma has to keep going to Uncle J.'s house to help him get rid of the KAKworm. Seems he doesn't know how to GET RID OF IT or DOWNLOAD THE NEWEST VERSION OF IE! And get this--his wife, who WORKS with computers? SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SAVE THINGS TO DISK!! How did she get that job? Was she like one of those illiterate people who somehow luck it out through high school??

Why do I have to get stuck with such stupid relatives? This is one reason I never go to family gatherings. I HATE feeling like people are below me, when I'm the most self-debasing person you'd find--but in this family, it's too easy to do!
