Yes, we all know about that false quatrain that was circulating the Net for quite a while concerning the Twin Brothers or whatever. A load of bull it was. But I just bought a book with his quatrains (The Man Who Saw Tomorrow: The Prophecies Of Nostradamus translated by Erika Cheetham) and I think the last revision was in the Seventies or early Eighties. I'd like to quote a few quatrains without any of the commentary.

Century I, Quatrain 87

Earthshaking fire from the centre of the earth will cause tremors around the New City. Two great rocks will war for a long time, then Arethusa will redden a new river.

Century VI, Quatrain 97

The sky will burn at forty-five degrees, fire approaches the great New City. Immediately a huge, scattered flame leaps up when they want to have proof of the Normans.

Century IX, Quatrain 92

The king will want to enter the new city, they come to subdue it through its enemies; a captive falsely freed to speak and act; the king to be outside, he will stay far from the enemy.

Century X, Quatrain 49

Garden of the world near the New City, in the road of the hollow mountains. It will be seized and plunged in the tank, forced to drink water poisoned with sulphur.

I didn't mention this earlier but I suppose I should. Pepper is gone. Ma took her in for what was supposedly to be a possible enema, due to her lack of bowel movements lately. She was barely able to walk. Apparently everything was shutting down for some reason--kidneys, liver, anything else.

They euthanized her October 26th. I wasn't there for her. Again.

I can only hope she forgives me. I can't forgive myself.
