Screw Tripod Then

10-01-02 @ 10:36 am EDT

I thought they would be a better provider than GeoCities, but looks like I was wrong. They've written to me again, but I haven't read it, and I still can't view my own website that it took me MONTHS to put together. So screw it. If they don't want to help me fix it then I don't want them hosting me. What's the point when I can't even see the update I added to my main page telling any visitors I can't preview my own website?

I'll just try to start anew at GeoCities again. I already had a d4d_archive account there from a couple of months ago. There's 5megs less space, but maybe I can make do. It's mostly text so far. I can still access my page files in HTML format at Tripod (CROSS FINGERS, how long until they take THAT away from me, too?), so I'll just copy that to GeoCities and change the URLs and set it up all over again. Besides, GeoCities has stats, which Tripod doesn't have. I like to look at stats. And my listing at Google, with Tripod, never even updated from the very first time I wrote my page. It still says "TEST PAGE" there, when it hasn't said that at least since the beginning of the year, if not earlier.

So SCREW YOU, TRIPOD! It's a sad state of affairs indeed when I'm running TOWARD GeoCities rather than AWAY from it!

(I'm not saying GeoCities is any good either. I have yet to sign up with a place with more bandwidth so I can rebuild the Radioactive Playground which they shut down a few times a month just because one or two people decide to visit it A WEEK!)

I am yesterday; I know tomorrow.
