DAR! How could I forget! November 22. Today is an important day! :D

Exactly eighty years ago today (well, according to some sources; at least it's close according to all of them), the tomb of King Tutankhamon was discovered in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt by Howard Carter! Using a candle he peered into a hole and exclaimed that he saw "Wonderful things!"

Pretty nifty, eh? So take a moment today to think of good old King Tut and all that he's done for us. Walking like an Egyptian...the Luxor in Vegas...King Kuts dog food...that Steve Martin song...
