One More For The "Night" 12-22-02 @ 2:08 pm EST Don't you know by now that the day is my night? How often do you read my journal? Did you ever notice there are never any entries posted in midafternoon? I deleted a few of my Random Stories as I wasn't very proud of them...mainly my flash fiction ones, as I suck at flash fiction. Even the reviews I got would say things like, "This would be better if it were longer"...well...I guess that means I'm really bad at flash fiction if people want it to be longer! The only one I kept was "Facing The Maiden," and that only because it's kinda Jungian so I kinda like it. Bla bla. You know that it was posted like in March, and not ONE single person has ever checked out The Isle Of The Setting Sun? That's rather sad. It's a trashier story from when I was in high school, but I thought it was kind of funny. :/ Wonder why nobody's ever clicked on it. Well anyway, the real reason I stepped in here once more was to brag that I got an early start on and have already written about 12kb (go me! go me!), so if I keep this up, I will not have to rush it for a change. Things are getting VERY tight now. The series WILL top a year, but by how much, I have no clue. It won't be by very much, though. Oh yes. I do have ONE more thing to mention, while I remember it for a change. This site will NEVER reach 200,000 items! In fact, it already DID...I watched it hit 200,000 on the main page...but then it suddenly plummeted down to 197,000...and then to 195,000. WTF? Apparently there was a big purge then, possibly of inactive members, and possibly voluntary action on the part of nonupgradeds and regular upgraded members (like myself). So...it inched back up to 197,000...and higher...and then it DROPPED again, to like 195,000, and 194,000...and it keeps bobbing back up toward 200,000, then dropping by several thousand again. !!! How much stuff can they possibly delete? Seems like it would have tapered off by now. Anyway, it's currently at 195,707; it was at around 195,000 (or maybe 195,500?) this morning, but knowing the way of things, it will probably be LOWER rather than HIGHER later on! Don't know why I wanted to mention this so badly, I just did. It's kind of annoying. I've actually wanted to post that for days but I kept forgetting, so there. I have to go to bed now. For those who wondered...and there WERE a couple..."tar" does mean goodbye. I have no clue whatsoever where I picked it up or why, as I would never say it in real life, and it sounds more like a black sticky substance rather than like a farewell. I used to just use the phrase "AUS" when I first came online in 2000, but stopped that along the way. Does Tigger use the word "tar"?? I had no clue!! Anyway, so yes, that's what "tar" means, and why I'm always saying it, and I wanted to thank those who wondered since it means they stopped by to read this journal. :) And tar...
