Don't you love it when people carp at you, but are so lame doing it that you can make them look even lamer?

I was only two entries away from completely updating my diary at FOD, when it stopped working for me. Everybody else's diaries are still working, but not mine. So typical. So I checked my notes and found this new lovely:

Ive been to your stories.com site, and your writings just average. Its nothing special - nothing publishable, anyway.

*rubs hands, ready to pick*

First of all...wow, unless you are somebody I referred and have JOINED the site, you must be psychic, because the great majority of my writing there--and especially Manitou Island, which was referenced in the entry you posted this to--is restricted from the public. So unless you JOINED the site, which you don't say you did (you just say you visited it), how did you read that writing? That's absolutely amazing.

Secondly, it hasn't been called Stories.com in a while now...it is Writing.com. Why do I get the feeling that you just looked at the link on my diary's main page and went no further? Because if you clicked on that, and were not a member, you wouldn't have seen anything but the Ameni Chronicles...and since you posted your note all of a few minutes after I posted my entry, I somehow doubt you actually spent much time reading anything well enough to tell how well or how poorly it's written. Hm. Are you an amazing speed reader, too?

Thirdly, ah, ah, ah! Yet ANOTHER anonymous person! As I've said before, I'm amazed by the bravery of the anonymous people who carp at diaries yet for some bizarre reason can't link to their own, or even leave a name...so typical...

And fourthly...

You apparently don't know how to use contractions.

What's that quote? To paraphrase? Don't try to remove the mote from your brother's eye until you've removed the log from your own. I suggest you familiarize yourself with apostrophes. Because your writing isn't publishable, either.

(You must not be a regular to my journal since I have said MYSELF that my writing probably isn't publishable, nor am I even SEEKING publication...and so what point were you trying to make, really, with your note? Trying to discourage me from something I'm not even trying to do? Wow, that was a waste of time.)

Why do I get the feeling you did not read an actual word of my writing? Lastly, I find it very funny that you could not quote anything specific that you found wrong. It's "just average"? What was just average? In what story? On what page? What link? What paragraph, sentence, word? You cannot say, because you are anonymous and you did not read it.

I hope you had fun wasting your time carping at somebody else's diary, because I had fun carping at you. Until you have some SPECIFIC writing advice you can offer me, you remain...bawk-bawk-bawk.
