Tehuti At TEN! ^_^

06-19-03 @ 9:55 am EDT

No, I haven't given up on Seventeen yet...I just dug out an even OLDER journal I kept as an assignment in elementary school...in 1986...when I was TEN! ^_^ *LMAO*

I'll share a sampling of it with you...though I'm afraid I can't give you the full feel, as it's loaded with drawings and comics I made...*LOL*...

All spellings left intact, though I did add quotes to set off the journal topics and included the weekday when it was omitted. Teacher's comments are in blue.

"Vote for Me"

Goal: To hand papers in on time

I would build more jails.

I would make rules not to let pets go.

I would make tax prices lower for the poor people.

I would make the price higher on cigarettes.

I would make the price higher on beer.

I would build more shelters for the poor people.

I would try to make our country a better one. good

"How Would I Feel if I Were a Turkey Around Thanksgiving?"

Goal: To keep my desk clean

If I were a turkey around Thanksgiving, I would feel terrible! I would like it because I wouldn't get any schoolwork. But, I would hate it because people would be nice to me and give me a lot to eat (You know why!) and try to get me fat. They would try to get me fat because they want a bite of nice, plump, juciy, tender turkey now and then. You know, I really am a turkey. I just went and bought an airplane ticket and flew to Florida, I would too! and here, my female Canadian Geese cousins are fanning me as I lay in a hamock sipping lemonade. Cute!

Illustrations: A turkey with a drink lying in a hammock with a shade between two palm trees, saying "gobble!" and being fanned by one Canadian goose while another hurries to bring a drink; meanwhile, Mickey Mouse is standing off to the side.

"How would I feel If I were a Snowflake?"

Goal: To help out as much as I can

I certaianly don't feel lonley up here. I'm all jumbled up in a cloud ready to fall. Ah! Now I'm falling. I'll tell you about myself on the way down. It's not loney with your friends all around you. In fact, It's kind of noisy. Listen to the gab going on: "Hey, Flakey! Come here and let me tell you about what Frosty did. Boy! You should of saw him! He flew to Antarctica!" "Freezy! Slushy! Look out! Everybody! Look out! Evergreens!" "Evergreen alert! Evergreen alert!" Oops! Some Evergreens and Redwoods are coming. Whew! I missed. Ah! I'm coming down. Well, nice talking to you. Goodbye! This is very nice

Illustrations: Different snowflakes with smiley faces, including two newspaper cutout snowflakes glued to the page.

"How can I be of help to someone that I love?"

Goal: To be very generous to others

Some people I love: My family, my best friends, and the nice animals. I help my family by taking care of the animals and cleaning the house. (I think I'm known as "the garbage disposal." Oh ya? I get rid of some of the leftovers.)

I help my best friends by helping them clean out the animal cages, getting things for them, and helping them with work and other things.

I help the animals by cleaning the cages, feeding them, and giving them attention.

I help the wild animals by getting food like cheese-puffs, bread, popcorn, popcorn kernals, hamster food and donuts and throwing it outside. good

Illustrations: My face, smiling as I speak the above.

+20 points

There's more but I think I've subjected you to enough of overly idealistic ten-year-old Tehuti for now. Tar. ^_^
