When I tried to post a new entry--letting readers know where they may find offsite copies of this very journal in case they wish to continue reading it, if something should happen to this version of Skew--I was presented with the following message:

An Error Occurred!

With this entry, your book would be larger than the maximum allowed size for a book (2,048.00k). Without this entry, your book is 5,752.79k. This entry's size is 0.37k.

I am upset by this, as, with the last time a limit was imposed on item numbers, there was no warning; I found out only when I tried to create a new item and could not. However, I saw a warning yesterday, so I was not completely surprised. For those of you with journals, view them and check out the top of your browser: Where it used to say "List Journal Entries," it now says "List Book Entries." I took this as a bad sign, and was right. Journals are now limited to about 2mb. Skew is almost 6mb, and so unless I should start deleting massive numbers of entries (which I am loath to do, as journals are meant for archiving and chronicling our lives), there will be no further updates. As deleting so many entries would take a long while, there will thus be no new entries to Skew. I wished to give you the URLs of other versions in a new entry, but that cannot happen now.

I could start railing, but I won't even bother because I had a feeling ever since The End Of Skew that it was coming. I only wish that again some announcement would have been made beforehand so I could have posted one final entry giving my URLs. I hope any readers of this journal take the time to read this new intro.

I have yet to decide if I will purge older entries from Skew or simply delete the journal entirely. It just celebrated its second birthday, and I just freed it from negative ratings by making it unrateable, so I'm sad and angry to see it go in whatever manner, but that's life. If you like reading this journal, I wouldn't mind knowing what you think I should do with it now.

In the meantime, if you like Skew, please continue to read up at any of these following locations; the first two are the most frequently updated (others may lag severely behind), and this intro will be posted as an entry there. You can leave me notes at any of them, I believe, and I would appreciate knowing my few readers are still with me, even if I am not posting here on Writing.com.
