All right, I was wrong on one detail. I can admit when I'm wrong, I just feel like a moron doing it. The Fairy Arch is NOT mentioned in the Fifties guidebook. But in my own defense, the Giant's Stairway is, and the FA was part of that. I also just noticed that in the description of Arch Rock they say that the more athletically inclined can CLIMB UP IT!! >_< Horrid horrid horrid! Dumbasses. No wonder things fall apart.

On the other hand, I went looking for Mackinac Island trail maps to see if I could locate an old trail known as the "Trail of the Lonesome Pine," also mentioned in the old guidebook but since dropped. It was an old Indian trail. I know the general area but it's just not there anymore, apparently. Foo. But I did find two very good trail maps in PDF format. The thing is they are VERY big and so I have no clue how one would print them to utilize them. :/ However they have some interesting information. Did you know that the particular areas of lake around the island have names? Like Cove and Bay and such! It's spelled differently, but the area of water near British Landing is called something like Manabozho Bay! :D Coolness! I'll have to peruse them a bit more and share my findings later.

In other news, I didn't get anything at the antiques fair; there were two semi-interesting books, but one was way overpriced, and the other one I didn't really need. And no owl figurines called out my name. Foo too. :/ Oh well, at least that means I still have my money, I suppose. For now.

And in last news, I was just browsing TUBJOT out of boredom and came across a June entry that made me laugh...so I decided to share. If only I were always so succinct and yet...um...whatever.

Blah!

Just a nothing entry. Last night saw a beautiful black cat on the porch. So pretty. Looked almost exactly like Pepper, only sans white spots. Crept off, scared Coz to death.

Coz caught fat mouse. It boxed him. Slipped under breadbox; I flushed it out of 1 side while Coz guarded other. Mouse sneaked off, Coz didn't even notice.

Went for walk. Saw bunting before leaving. Crime scene tape on L. side 10 min. into tracks. :/ Saw a deer. House passed me on way back. Whole walk took approx. 1:15.

Writing this naked. *smirky face*
