Holy Schmuck On A Stick

Um...yow. o_o My last entry got me curious about how long the Ameni Chronicles ARE actually. I figured already that they ran longer than RTMI, since it's almost 4mb of them in their folder on the hard drive. And RTMI is only 2 or 3 something. But that's ALL 65 CHAPTERS, INCLUDING the ones not revised yet, and RTMI is still in progress so I figured TAC was not TOO much longer than RTMI, and might not stay that way for long.

Well...I decided to go and copy and paste what I have revised so far of TAC into the word processor and do a word count. So I did the finished 35 chapters (crap, forgot to post Part 35 here yet...will get to that soon). The word count INCLUDES the chapter titles, which are only "Part Thirty-One," "Part Thirty-Two," etc.--not actual titles which are counted in the word count for RTMI ("Part 93: Come & Get Me!," etc.). Meaning, the inclusion of titles didn't add as substantially to the word count for TAC as it did for RTMI. Lost yet? I really don't know how I manage to make such a short entry so damn long.

Well...I copied and pasted and did a word count of the first 35 parts of TAC. Remember that up to Part 93 of RTMI is over 387,000 words (more coming).

Up to Part 35 of TAC is...over 444,000 words!!

Cripes what a lot of erotica!! O_O

I mean, I thought ALL 65 existing chapters would end up longer...but not by that much...and this is just 35 chapters!! 444,000 words and it's still GOING?? RTMI probably won't even run that long, when done!

(OH...I did forget to mention the Lost Chapters...so those "first 35 parts" of TAC are actually the first 38 parts, counting the three new chapters. Sorry. But STILL!)

And you know what's weird? For some reason...I just feel like the higher word count of TAC "doesn't count" when it comes to my longest story written. And I don't know why that is. That was part of the reason I didn't care to know whether it was actually longer than RTMI or not at first, because TAC "didn't count." I put as much work into it as anything else I've written--even more so, since I've never revised anything so thoroughly as this, except for Horus--and that was basically an entirely new work, not a rewrite, so it doesn't count here. I don't see TAC as inferior to my other writing or anything. But...it just doesn't feel "important" enough to count as my longest work written. My prudishness can't be the reason since even online, among the people who KNOW I write that stuff, I've never felt like I should include it as a competitor against RTMI. It just..."doesn't count." Like it's not "real writing." And I cannot figure out why. :/

Notice how I never even properly italicize the title or acronym, yet I always do so for RTMI and my other works? I can't explain that either.

:/

Well I just got bored and have to go now. Tar.

I am yesterday; I know tomorrow.
