YeeeeeeeEEEEEeeeeeEEEEE!!! ^_^

Remember...?

"Some Violet, Then Some Other," from August 2004...? Historic Mackinac...that two-volume set on eBay that cost $95, and didn't sell, and didn't sell, and didn't sell, and then...sold? -_-

Well...

My head will soon implode from SHEER JOY!!

I've been saving page images from old interesting books at Canadiana.org. I'm nearly done with a longish text on Indians by Schoolcraft. I got to wondering if they have any other interesting archival text sites out there and so plugged in Canadiana.org at Google and looked for similar sites. Got some...went through one...which took me to another...which took me to a bunch of links for some others...and then more from there...and I ended up at www.hti.umich.edu/, which I've been to numerous times in the past through the Online Books Page. But I never saw this page that had links to histories of Michigan counties. Did they have anything about Cheboygan, I wondered? Or better yet...Mackinac? I loaded the page...it took FOREVER...found one match to Cheboygan...which also dealt with Mackinac! Looked further on the page. Found another text about Mackinac (which I already saved a while back from elsewhere). Kept looking. Found...HISTORIC MACKINAC BY E. O. WOOD!! TWO-VOLUME SET!! THIS IS THE CLOSEST I WILL EVER COME TO HAVING GOOD SEX!!!

But mood quickly deflated when the page linked me twice to...Volume One! :***( WHY?? Why TAUNT me like that? *cries* Tried e-mailing them through Outlook Express to ask, "Where is Volume Two??" E-mail bounced back as undeliverable!! I was supposed to be offline about an hour ago! *cries louder* Out of desperation went to Yahoo! and e-mailed them from THERE. Checked. Didn't bounce back--YET. Then on a whim decided to check the "short" URL provided on the pages above, which I had NOT used to access the texts.

Page links to two volumes. I felt awful...the other page links to two volumes, too--BOTH VOLUME ONE! But clicked them anyway. And...

VOLUME TWO!! VOLUME TWO!! ONE AND TWO!!! :D :D :D

People at U of M probably think I'm a moron now. But I can't help it that their page incorrectly links to the same volume twice! I just provided them with the wrong URL to check! Who cares--I found VOLUME TWO!

*yeeEEEeeeEEEEeeeEEEEEeeeEEEE*

The only thing NOW is...there's a section...and a map...on all these wonderful horribly WONDERFUL sites I've never heard of...tons of them...and those that I have heard of, and always wondered about...Fairy Kitchen...Echo Grotto...Family Rocks...Allouez Cascade...Desha Mound!!...I'M GOING TO DIE!! But...the descriptive text numbers don't match the map numbers!

To borrow an emoticon terribly appropriate after this morning... _-_

I want to finish off Schoolcraft's ass. And start saving all 1400-some pages of WOOD WOOD WOOD!!

Have to go and try to at least pretend to write something now. If I even can by now. _-_

*aaaaeeeeeeeaaaaeeeeeeeeEEEEEEE!!*

I am yesterday; I know tomorrow.
